* Shedrack Korir wins 1500m in Athens
* Usain Bolt wins twice in Gibson Relays
24th February 2007 - Shedrack Korir (KEN) closed his 2007 indoor season with victory in the 1500m in Athina 2007. The 28 year old took the tape in a time of 3:36.30 ahead of Ali Monsoor Bilal (BRN) and Abdelati Iguider (MOR). The 3:31 runner ran five races in the indoor season with 3 wins - Moscow, Stuttgart and Athens - and two 2nd place finishes - Birmingham and Valencia. His Birmingham defeat came at the hands of Kenenisa Bekele's world 2000m record while in Valencia Daniel Komen set a world leading time in the 1500m to beat him. Shedrack had the consolidation of breaking his brother's (Laban Rotich) Kenyan record behind Bekele and recording the 2nd fastest time in the world behind Komen.
Usain Bolt (JAM) continued his 2007 preparations with double success in the Gibson Relays in Jamaica. The World Junior 200m Record holder anchored his HPTC team to victory in the 4x100m in a meeting record 38.70 sces and then led his team to victory in the 4x400m in a time of 3:06.82.
