Usain Bolt – 3 GOLDS, 3 WORLD RECORDS
Usain Bolt (JAM) was the star of the 2008 Olympic Games with three GOLD medals and 3 WORLD RECORDS in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m. Christine Ohuruogu (GBR) added the Olympic 400m title to her World and Commonwealth titles. Philips Idowu (GBR) jumped a season's best to win the triple jump SILVER medal. Micah Kogo (KEN) took the 10,000m bronze medal. There were 4th place finishes for Moses Masai (KEN 10,000m) and Moses Kipsiro (UGA 5000m) while Linet Masai (KEN 10,000m) just missed a medal in 4th but had the consulation of setting a new World Junior and Kenyan Record.
